I guess i am a little confused with the charts. If all the deciles put together make up the universe. Then how is it that the aggregate of the universe has lower return than any of the deciles?

Please enlighten

Yuval Taylor

The red bar on the left is the change in the cap-weighted index with no dividends. The other bars include dividends and are equal weighted, so their returns are significantly higher. I apologize for the confusion--I should have used an equal-weighted benchmark with dividends.
